My W.I.S.E Kid

Updated: Mar 19

Self-Sufficiency! Many of us strive for this in our daily lives whether that’s with our schoolwork or even our job. Here at The Be W.I.S.E Initiative we have been striving for a similar goal for each of our programs. However, one thing that we realized almost immediately was that this task of achieving Self-Sufficiency was no easy feat. But with the help of Esha SharmaNikhitha VellankiPranav IngaleAshley Tarrant, Leena Eltilib, Anvitha Gogineni, Sanjusha GudlaAashi Sharma, and Ashika Batchu's diligent planning and development this year we have successfully completed one full school year of My W.I.S.E Kid activities with a completely Self-Sufficient system! This milestone is very important to us because since the inception of The Be W.I.S.E Initiative we were constantly reminded of The Ripple Effect, the idea that “One Small Change, Can Have an Enormous Impact”. With this concept in mind, we have strived everyday to incorporate this idea into our organization to empower the next generation of changemakers, and with our new Self-Sufficient System that's exactly what we did. It is also super rewarding to see what started as a small ripple has now evolved into a wave of changemakers that are each trying to make a difference for the Women in STEM community. In addition, we are very delighted to be sharing this news on International Women’s Day, as we owe a great deal of gratitude to all the women that make The Be W.I.S.E Initiative possible. We thank them for not only educating the next generation of Women in STEM, but also taking the time to learn and grow inside our organization to help strengthen the Women in STEM community even more. We look forward to accomplishing many more milestones so stay tuned to see what we have in store!
